*lemon tree in our yard*

I am back. Moving threw my balance way off and the motivation to write was lost in the shuffle. I wish I could say that the move was easy breezy, but it kind of wasn't. The emotional and physical drain layered on top of the excitement and newness got me all sorts of mixed up. We are now a few months on the other side of the move and each week brings a deeper sense of being settled in the house, neighborhood and our new community. And now the undying need to make the house look like Chip and Jo Jo blew through and made it picture perfect just won't quit.

Anyways, to get back into the groove I am keeping it simple. I have been making the easiest and yummiest chocolate sauce for the kids (ok and me) to dip fruit in for dessert lately. It has 3 ingredients and comes together in about 2 minutes. This recipe comes from the book Eat Better Not Less. It's a super healthy cookbook that I am dying to try, but I've only gotten as far as the chocolate sauce.

Chocolate Sauce
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder (this stuff is so good and worth the extra $$)
1 tablespoon maple syrup

Heat the oil in a small sauce pan on low heat until it melts. Add the cacao powder. Stir until mixed and thickens. Add maple syrup. I let it cool for a few minutes and then cover the fruit or serve on the side for dipping.

It is really good with bananas, blueberries, strawberries or raspberries.
