Hello! I’m back from an unplanned break from writing. Life kinda got in the way in all sorts of ways. The good: kiddos, youth soccer games, play dates, pumpkin carving, delicious weekend dinners, time with friends. The bad: family drama, coping with a dog diagnosed with cancer, work dynamics (I'd call this more neutral), continuing to heal after a tough few years. And the ugly: another mass shooting, Napa wildfires, severe PMS I am trying to wrangle. So, you know, the usual.

I have also been spending time doing a deeper dive into my spirituality that has me looking at all sorts of things differently (I hope to gather my thoughts and share here one day). It's been a super slow journey for me, but lately I have found myself really wanting to connect with this part of my life. I knew it was time to come back down a little bit from my spiritual exploration after talking to a *very* new colleague about our mortality at a work event. Not weird at all. 

To get back in the swing of things, here are some highlights from my past month in photos. The title photo was taken from my hotel room last week in San Francisco. I was there for three days for work and was lucky to capture a pretty morning sky.
