Summer is in the air and I am soaking up the energy that the sun and warm air give me this time of year. One of my dear friends lives in a beautiful loft apartment and the complex has a pool. Last year California was still in a drought so it was closed most of the summer and I was nursing a little baby so I only made one quick visit. We vowed that this year would be different now that the drought is over for the most part and I am no longer only able to leave the house in 1-2 hour increments. Yesterday I packed up a bag, threw Chase in the car and spent a  gloriously leisurely day by the pool with two of my favorite girlfriends.

We made froses (what's that you ask, it's only the hottest drink at the moment, here is a good recipe), caught up on life and watched Chase splash around. I couldn't have dreamed up a better day.

I left with a full heart, as I always do when I see these amazing women, and felt so so relaxed from the sunshine and the pool and yes, probably the froses.
